General wiki templates. The most commonly used are:
Clear[]
{{Clr}}, with variants {{Clrl}} and {{Clrr}}
- This template is used to reduce the amount of non-wikicode used on pages, replacing the code
<br style="clear:both;" />
, which should generally be avoided. - You can use {{clr}} instead of the HTML tag that clears space below things like images, pictures and tables, so the following stuff doesn't begin until the bottom of the image, picture or table box.
- You can also use {{clrl}} or {{clrr}} to clear only left or right floats.
For[]
{{For|name|link}}
- Use at the top of articles as a simple "For x, see y" template.
Main article[]
{{Main|Main article}}
- Use at the start of a section to link to the main article on it.
Sandbox[]
{{Sandbox}}
- A template that should be used to head up all Project:Sandbox pages.
T is for template[]
{{t|Template}}
- This template allows you to show example template code (with a link to the templates) without using the template itself. It is used extensively on this page.
ToC (Table of Contents)[]
{{Tocright}}, {{Toccenter}} and {{Tochide}}
- {{Tocright}} floats the table of contents (ToC) on the right, quite good for a long one if there are no images to get in the way. It should, however, be used with care, so as not to spoil consistent design.
- {{Toccenter}} floats the table of contents (ToC) on the center, used mainly on guides.
- {{Tochide}} causes the table of contents (ToC) to be Hidden on the page but still still allows Fandom's icon to be seen, THIS IS THEPREFERRED METHOD!
Wikipedia[]
{{Wikipedia}} and {{Wikipedia-deleted}}
These templates are for use on articles and templates that use content that was taken or partially copied from Wikipedia.
- Use {{Wikipedia}} for articles taken directly from Wikipedia.
- Use {{wikipedia-deleted}} for articles that were on Wikipedia and have since been deleted.
