Specific information

  • Ikariam uses "s203" in its URL as the server designation for this world, no matter which community / language version you use.
    • Ikariam:
      • Used the Greek Alphabet  wp as names for the first twenty-four (1 – 24) worlds.
      • Used Greek Immortal deities wp as names for the next twenty (20) worlds;  twenty-five through the forty-four (25 – 44).
      • Is currently using Greek Mortals wp and Mythological Creatures wp as names for the next group of worlds;  forty-five and above (45 – 47).
  • Ikariam uses a few specialty servers for the following reasons:
    • "Speed servers" (Closed) (not used often / reset after each session) - Special servers for when they need to test changes that occur at higher levels of the game and it would take too long at normal speed to reach them.  These servers run at four times (4x) the normal speed when they are used.
    • "Test servers {[ 1  /  2  (Closed) /  3  (Internal use #1) /  4  (Internal use #2) /  5  (Internal use #3) /  6  (Internal use #4)]}," - Special servers for testing the beta wp patches before they go out to the live servers.
    • "War servers [ 1  (Closed - Rounds #1 – #7) (reset after each round - 1 per language group) /  2  (Permanent Round #8 - Open in most communities until 2028)]" - Special servers that run at three times (3x) the normal speed, allows Pillaging of gold and have a different set of rules when compared to normal game servers.

Game information

Special rules that differ from normal servers:
  1. The building speed of units and buildings is three times as fast.
  2. The movement speed of all military units and merchant ships is three times as fast.
  3. The production of research points is three times as high.
  4. The start level of all resources is level five.
  5. The resource production of the saw mill and the luxury mines is three times as high.
  6. The effects of the morale feature is deactivated.
  7. Gold can be pillaged from other players.
  8. This server has reduced:
    1. Training and travel times for spies.
    2. Cooldowns and durations of miracles.
  9. This server has increased:
    1. Fallback times.
    2. Loading times - including with pillaging.
    3. Building times.
    4. Gathering of resources.
    5. Population growth.
  10. This server does not end; has no rounds; is a permanent server

Details about the deactivated morale:
  1. The loser of the battle is the side that has no more units on the battlefield at the end of a battle round. Units that always work with reserves are not taken into account when establishing the winner.
  2. Chefs, doctors and tenders do not increase the points in the general highscore.
  3. The effect of chefs and tenders on the morale has been removed.
  4. Armies that flee from battle because no more units are stationed at the front line and no more units can be put there, additionally lose 10% of each unit type. Players from the victorious side will not receive points for the highscore for the 10% of units that are destroyed here after fleeing.
Details about pillaging gold:
  1. Every unit that takes part in ground fights can pillage a particular amount of gold and transport it away. The amount of pillage-able gold depends strongly on the transport weight of the unit.
  2. Gold itself does not use up any transport capacity on merchant ships, but is directly carried along by the individual units.
  3. A certain amount of gold cannot be pillaged by other players. The amount depends on the town hall level of the capital city.
  4. Gold has a loading time that is a lot shorter than that of resources.
  5. If several players are on the victor`s side at the end of a battle, the gold will be equally distributed amongst the soldiers until they are fully loaded.
  6. When an army or fleet transporting gold arrives at an occupied town or port, the gold is given to the occupying force there.
  7. The owner of an occupied town also receives 10% of the gold when the occupier present receives pillaged gold.
