Has anything changed in v0.3? DukeJP2010 15:13, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Update as of Patch 0.3.1
- Somebody will have to update the page in accordance to the new ikariam help page.
If you occupy that town, do you get any resources it would normally produce?
- No you do not. Instead it gets 10% of the resources you pillage using that town as a base.
Does occupation block ships from sailing in and out of the occupied town? I.e. Can the occupied player send in reinforcements, alternatively send out goods? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.8.131.52 (talk • contribs)
Needs discussion re: Occupation
There's a ton of weirdness with occupation.
If an ally is occupying, you can't pillage. If you have pillagers then occupiers (at least your own) come in before the battle is done, pillagers get nothing. The game seems bugged in that if you are occupying and you leave (withdraw all your troops) by deploying them out of the city, the city can still remain occupied & can't be pillaged, but you also can't see your military there. The solution to this is that in your capital, in your palace, you can stop occupying a city explicitly.
Results of actions revolving occupation
I'm not sure how much overlap there is with garrison right, and alliance garrison right, but all those topics might be covered by the same page in the future.
Research To Be Done:
- Troops sent to free town DOUBLE. One half of the DOUBLED troops Attackign to Free town Other half Defending town.
- Troops scattered from allies town but reorganised to original town
- Occupation error, allied unit is protecting the city
- Unable to deploy troops to an occupied town.
Garrison right vs Occupation
It is my understanding that you use Occupation on a non-allied town (you occupy your enemies) and have Garrison Rights to use your allied towns. -- Jrooksjr, Morph and/or Morphias (C| T/D/W) [[Special:Editcount/Jrooksjr|Special:Editcount/Jrooksjr]] contributions and counting 14:57, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
I can't cancel an occupation.
I occupied a town, pillaged a neighbor etc.. but now I have pulled my troops out and while the "trade good" pull down no longer lists that city as one of mine, the map shows I am occupying still. Is this a known bug or something I am doing wrong?
thanks. -- The preceding unsigned comment was added by 184.108.40.206 (talk • contribs)

You should ask this question on the Forums page of the server you are playing on - we are not Gameforge and so far I have not heard of there being a bug with Occupation at this time. -- Jrooksjr, Morph and/or Morphias (C| T/D/W) [[Special:Editcount/Jrooksjr|Special:Editcount/Jrooksjr]] contributions and counting 21:57, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
Troops in town
Moved post from Ikariam talk:Alliances.
"Ships of an enemy occupation force are stationed in this town!"
- Really? Are they doing anything?
