Usage

This template uses the sub-template {{Text/Colors}} to determine the correct color to use. Especially, if you do not use Standard color names.

Guts: <span style="background:{{{bg}}}; color:{{{c}}}; font:{{{f}}}; text-decoration:{{{d}}};">{{{1}}}</span>

Sets foreground and background colors (Standard color names) of a given text.  They can be specified by name or in the format #rrggbb (RGB hex triplet)

bg= background color (defaults to transparent - WikIkariam's default background color)
c= text color (defaults to black)
f= font (no default)
d= none, line-through, overline, underline or combinations of the latter 3 (defaults to none)
  • none removes all decorations
ds= text decoration style - dotted, solid or wavy (defaults to solid)
dc= text decoration color (defaults to c=)

Unless in the case of personal use on a user page, use this template with great caution:

  • a poor contrast may make the text difficult or impossible to read
  • the contrast can be experienced as even poorer in the case of color blindness
  • links have a color according to user settings; they become invisible if this color is equal to the background color
